More meaningful

Life becomes more beautiful when you release the chains of guilt, and despair. Allowing God to work in and through you. Not so much that you forget you are a human and that you sin just like another human, but you know God sent His one and only son to forgive you of your sins.

I use to be angry, and hurting all the time thinking others were not deserving of my kindness and good deeds because the

y seem so undeserving but I've found that they do need it even if they are ungrateful. That's when they need it the most.

When you allow the devil to get to you and not be gentle and nice to the ones you think are undeserving you start treating the ones that you feel are only deserving the same.

Being a Christian doesn't make you perfect, and holier than thou. It means you believe Jesus came and died for your sins. Each and everyday, through him and only him will you find peace of mind. All day, everyday. Not some of the time, but all the time.

No matter where you go work, out, another person's house, where ever you go. Yes there are going to be people that test you, and you will not always do the right thing but as long as you have God, and Jesus all day everyday. You doing great!

An Opportunity to Pray

I was reading my bible study this morning in the Upper Room
it is written by Jeff Matthews from Illinois.

First we are going to read in the bible, here is the verses incase you
dont have yours handy.

Greetings from Paul
This letter is from Paul, chosen by God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and from our
brother Timothy.
It is written to God's holy people in the city of Colosse, who are faithful brothers and
sisters in Christ.
May God our Father give grace and peace.

Paul's Thanksgiving and Prayer
3We always pray for you and we give hanks to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
4for we have heard that you trust in Christ Jesus and that you love all of God's people
5You do this because you are looking forward to the joys of heaven--as you have been
ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. 6This is the same Good News

"All inmates get down on the ground!" he prerecorded message repeatedly blared
from the guard tower. A man with a rifle scanned the compound from the tower
window ready to shoot. "Officer needs assistance!" screamed the frantic voice
over the two-way radio. Like ants pouring out of the ground, prison staff came
running from every direction. In the midst of this chaos, I calmly lay face down
on the ground and prayed for the safety of the prison staff running by me, the
inmates fighting in the distance, and the medical personnel en route. We needed
divine intervention.
Opportunities to pray for the needs of others are all around us each day. We are
not powerless, our prayers can alter the outcomes of situations. Prayer is a priviledge
God bestows on each of us. When we pray for others, we seek to do good to one
another and to all" Someone, somewhere needs our prayers. This is why the Bible
tells us to pray for others. Who needs your prayers right now?

Here is another suggestion.. Keep a prayer list this month and look at it month's end
to see how situations changed.

Doors and Windows

Having to accept mandatory retirement a few years ago from a university job that I loved, I felt that a door had been closed forever. I missed being around young people: I felt my daily interaction with them kept me young in thought and in spirit. Retirement has also become financially draining so when God opened a window of opportunity for me to substitute teach, I felt twice blessed.

I spend a lot of time on my knees now, both physically with the children, and spiritually because of the children. I pray for them, for their parents, and for those challenged with the responsibility of teaching them. I hadn't expected to begin my retirement this early nor was this the way I had planned to spend it.

Change has defintely become harder for me as I have grown older. However, because my faith is strong, I am able to trust God and remain open and full of hope. Doing so  has brought a life much fuller than anything I might have envisioned and has also allowed me to meet my financial obligations.

Thought of the Day - What seems to us like an end can be God's door into a new beginning.-

This makes me delve into my problem at the moment with my job, and jobs I have had. God has a purpose for me and he is building me into that person. I can't get discouraged although I know it has been really easy to be, and steered me out of my main focuses.. My home, my boyfriend, my family, and most of all - God! I have been pretty selfish in the fact about losing the contract to a lower bidder, and I have had to face some laughs and punches in my face over jobs. But he has helped me to a build a confidence in myself that no matter what anyone says I can do it and do a good job.. Ive had many people tell me this, but I couldn't see past what other people have said and done!

I know I'm opening myself to others, but this is my way of getting it out ya know? I can do it, no matter what anyone says or does, I can. And another thing, I will always have that, that I finished school! I did it!

At times we all need a friend, someone who cares about us and our struggles. In fact we do have someone to talk with  who will not judge us but will unconditionally accept and love us. Scripture says that Jesus sat down with tax gatherers and sinners who came to him. They felt comfortable coming and listening to him, perhaps because they knew he offered compassion and healing. As Jesus was both cleaning and making people whole, the Pharisees and scribes began to grumble. They complained that Jesus was receiving sinners and eating with them.


This is amazing! The pure, holy, spotless lamb of God not only listened to impure, unrighteous sinners like but touched them and ate with them.


We do not have to discouraged by those around us today who are quick to judge and keep a record of our faults. Instead we con encourage ourselves and others with the truth that Christ is always ready with open arms to receive us and make us whole!


-Thought- Jesus came for sinners like you and me!

Inspiring People

Have you ever met someone that inspires something in you to make you an overall better person? I have had a handful of people that have inspired me to be a better person. I call them God's earthly angels, those people bring out your potential. Full potential.

No matter what the past in your life looks like, or they may not even know your past. They still continue to bring out the best in you. No matter the background of your life. No matter what others say, they still believe in you.


Some do it by the way they live their life. Showing no matter the diversities in their life they still smile, laugh, and love. By living their lives they teach you something about yourself you never could even dream or imagine.

They don't even know they do. they are just living their lives. Some do, and that's fine. Everyone has a purpose in their life to bring out the good in others. To have a giving, sharing, and loving kind of attitude with everyone even to those that are mean, hateful, and ugly.  Life is good as long as you keep a positive attitude about it.. No matter how stormy life gets you keep that positive attitude and sharing, giving, and loving attitude. you will be richly blessed. With every good and kind deed, there is going to be some bad times but you and I will get through them as long as we continue to be positive and treat others kindly even if they decide that's not how to be.

Thanks to all those that have inspired me in some way to live better.. I do pretty good at it most days, and attempt to work on those parts of me that need work.

Clear Perspectives

I've been talking to God. I talk to him, and he listens, sometimes he's silent, other times it's hints that I have to put together,a vision, a dream, a person passing by, the wind blowing or so obviously blunt I could fall over sometimes. And, I have at times, but I get back up.  Reflections of the past and what is now in the future.

I've been struggling with things in my life. I won't go into the details. All I do is talk to God, tell him what the problem is and let it go for him to deal with. I use to be a person that was miserable all the time for some reason or another because of worry, fitting in, or whatever it could've been at the time. When I stopped worrying about everyday things. That's when God stepped in and took over. That's when I started noticing a change in myself..  Noticing if I took just some time out of my everyday life, every day I could hear what he is saying to me. I've got the clear understanding in the past few days - God will put who he thinks are positive influences in my life - how would I know who they are? He used a few past experiences to prove that to me. I'm right where he wants me to be right now. I'm happy that he loves me enough to show me where he wants me to be in life.


God, and I are a relationship. Not a religion. I would believe in God if their were no religion and just God, the bible, and me. But then how would we learn anything if there were no churches that are based off some type of religion? Would we wonder aimlessly to it? Would we have a moment of clarity? I mean I know our God has the power to reveal things to his children. Perhaps, it could have happened because Christians are suppose to speak to others in some form or another about God to unbelievers, and we don't know who they are only God knows and he leads them to it.

A nice thing said by others in an awe-inspiring way, can make you think. Those that teach the word instead of preaching the word get the point across effectively. Moreso than the latter.

I've learned 2 things if not anything else in my life. You cant please everyone, and no matter the amount of change you do to yourself, they are still not going to like you. If you're good, bad, or in between.. Funny, or not. But none of that matters. 

As long as you do not let them rain on your parade, or get you down. Also it does not matter how much or less you've done for someone if they do not like you, well they do not like you. So keep your chin up, sunshine. God sees what you're doing, what you are going through and what a good person you are so do not stop !

Jumping through hoops.. Just be yourself.. it does not matter. The people that love you will never leave your side.. Even the ones you do not want in your life but are.

that person when and if they choose to go they will know I loved them, held them up when needed, was there for them through rain and shine. Cried with them, smiled and laughed with them. Still was there for them when they werent for me. No matter what I go through in life.. I will keep doing the right thing. I had went through a time in my life when things were at their worse that I gave up, that I stopped trying.. I was bitter, angry, resentful... Down right ugly too.. But ive found my way. Usually when someone is like that God is putting them through a change they arent ready to accept. Accept it, and take hold to your blessings.. Reach out
